Community Guidelines

Effective Date: September 8, 2026

Floto is a community built to help people discover, share, and connect through photography across Florida.

These Community Guidelines are intended to keep Floto welcoming, respectful, authentic, and focused on photography. They apply to everyone who uses Floto, including photographers, viewers, members, contributors, and anyone posting or interacting on the Platform.

By using Floto, you agree to follow these guidelines in addition to our Terms of Use.

1. Be Respectful

Treat other members of the Floto community with respect.

Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, bully, stalk, or target another person.

Disagreements are fine. Personal attacks, hateful conduct, repeated unwanted contact, and behavior intended to make another person feel unsafe or unwelcome are not.

2. Share Authentic Photography

Floto is a place for photographers to share their photography and creative work.

Photos submitted to Floto must be photographs created by the person submitting them or work they have the appropriate rights and permissions to share.

AI-generated images are not permitted on Floto.

Floto is intended to showcase photography created through photographic processes. Do not submit fully AI-generated images, AI-generated photographs, or work represented as photography when it was created entirely through generative AI.

3. AI-Assisted Work

Minor use of AI-powered tools for technical purposes, such as noise reduction, sharpening, resizing, dust removal, or similar photographic editing, may be permitted.

However, AI tools must not be used to generate the primary photographic image or substantially replace the photographic process.

If a photograph has been significantly altered or generated using AI, Floto may determine that it does not meet the Platform's standards for photographic work.

4. Share Your Own Work

Only upload or publish photographs, projects, writing, or other content that you created or have the appropriate rights and permissions to share.

Do not upload another photographer's work, copyrighted material, or content belonging to someone else without permission.

If you collaborate with others, make sure you have the appropriate permission to publish the work.

5. Respect Copyright and Intellectual Property

Respect the creative work of other photographers and members.

Do not copy, repost, distribute, modify, sell, or use another person's work without the necessary rights or permission.

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used improperly on Floto, contact us at info@floto.xyz.

6. Keep Profiles Accurate

Photographer profiles should accurately represent the person, business, or creative practice they belong to.

Do not impersonate another photographer, organization, or business.

Do not intentionally provide misleading information about your experience, location, specialties, credentials, or professional services.

7. Keep Photography the Focus

Floto is centered around photography and the people, opportunities, ideas, and resources connected to it.

Posts and profiles should generally be relevant to photography or the creative community.

We may remove content that is unrelated, repetitive, excessively promotional, or otherwise interferes with the purpose of the Platform.

8. No Spam or Misleading Promotion

Do not use Floto to distribute spam, repetitive promotional content, scams, deceptive offers, or unsolicited messages.

Do not manipulate engagement, create fake accounts, or use automated methods to artificially increase views, interactions, or visibility.

Promote your work, services, or opportunities thoughtfully and in ways that contribute to the community.

9. Board Posts and Opportunities

The Board is intended for photography-related opportunities, announcements, events, collaborations, open calls, grants, workshops, and similar opportunities.

If you share an opportunity, provide accurate and useful information whenever possible.

Do not knowingly post fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading opportunities.

Do not misrepresent compensation, deadlines, requirements, organizers, locations, or other important details.

Floto does not guarantee that an opportunity posted on the Board is legitimate, available, safe, or suitable. Members should independently verify opportunities before participating, paying money, sharing personal information, or entering into an agreement.

10. Protect People's Privacy

Do not publish another person's private or sensitive personal information without appropriate permission.

Be especially careful when photographing or posting identifiable people, children, private locations, or situations where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy.

You are responsible for obtaining any permissions or releases that may be required for the content you publish.

11. Do Not Abuse the Platform

Do not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of Floto.

This includes attempting to access another person's account, bypassing security measures, scraping or harvesting information without authorization, introducing malicious code, or using automated systems in ways that interfere with the Platform.

12. Moderation

Floto may review content, respond to reports, and take action when content or behavior appears to violate these guidelines, our Terms of Use, or applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, Floto may remove content, limit its visibility, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate access to the Platform.

We may also take action when content or behavior creates a meaningful risk to members, the Platform, or others.

13. Reporting a Problem

If you see content or behavior that you believe violates these Community Guidelines, please contact us at info@floto.xyz.

When reporting an issue, provide enough information for us to understand what happened, including the relevant account, post, opportunity, or other content when possible.

Please do not submit false or intentionally misleading reports.

14. Enforcement

Violations may result in:

  • Removal of content

  • Reduced visibility or feature restrictions

  • Warning or temporary restrictions

  • Suspension of an account

  • Permanent removal from Floto

Serious violations, including the submission of AI-generated work represented as photography, may result in immediate action.

15. A Shared Responsibility

A strong photography community depends on everyone contributing to it.

Share work you are proud of. Give credit when it is due. Respect other photographers. Participate honestly. Help make Floto a place where people can discover authentic photographic work, find meaningful opportunities, and connect with others who care about photography.

16. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as Floto grows and the community evolves.

When we make changes, we may update the Effective Date shown at the beginning of these guidelines.

Continued use of Floto after updated guidelines become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
